How much will treatment cost? The cost of periodontal treatment will vary depending on your needs. After Dr. Jadwat has examined you and determined the appropriate treatment, he can provide you with an estimate of the cost. As you consider this health investment, keep in mind that treating gum disease is less costly and better for your health than replacing teeth lost to untreated gum disease.
-
What can I expect when I visit Dr. Jadwat? An examination may require up to one hour. The examination begins with a health history and a complete dental history, followed by a clinical examination. If your problems involve the bone around your teeth or if you are considering implants, a recent and acceptable complete x-ray survey may be required. What is IV sedation?IV sedation works much like oral conscious sedation except that the drugs are administered intravenously (in your vein). With IV sedation, the effects are felt much quicker than with oral sedation. This procedure is carried out by a qualified experienced anaesthetist, with all the necessary monitoring equipment.
-
What is oral conscious sedation? The process involves prescribing a sedative drug to be taken orally about an hour before the planned procedure. When the medication takes effect, you will become extremely relaxed and drift into a sleep-like state. Once the medication wears off, most patients feel no discomfort or residual effects from the dental visit. Oral sedation is safe and effective, but can last for several hours after the appointment. It is important to remember that on the day of the appointment you will need someone to bring you to our office, take you home and stay with you until you have completely recovered.
-
What maintenance needs to be kept for implants?Effective self performed plaque control, regular maintenance visits at our offices and biennial x-rays taken of restored implants.
-
What other aesthetic procedures are done in your practice?Management of gummy smiles, improvement of gum margins, soft tissue de-pigmentation, teeth bleaching/whitening. Regular scale and polishes...
